Opening door to prosperity

BIRTHPLACE of the civil nuclear industry and home of the first ever large-scale steel works, a pioneering spirit is woven into the very fabric of Cumbria.
As a County which has innovation at its heart within industries that have shaped the world we live in today, partners behind the Britain’s Energy Coast™ initiative are keen to celebrate both individual and collective success. This is why we are proud to be supporting Businessman of the Year.
While the public sector has a key role to play in building the foundations, ultimately it will be the private sector that delivers builds upon it and delivers the sustainable economic renaissance of Cumbria. The Britain’s Energy Coast™ initiative is a superb example of this as it will be business leaders and innovators who hold the key to success.
The Britain’s Energy Coast™ initiative aims to establish West Cumbria and Furness as nationally important generators of low carbon and renewable energy, which if grasped by the private sector will allow them to flourish.
Cumbria can deliver a green future for the nation and a more prosperous economy for our communities.
