Loan striker Jason Price in Carlisle Utd side for Colchester game

Carlisle United boss Greg Abbott believes he has found the solution to his striker crisis following the arrival of Millwall’s Jason Price on loan until the end of the season.
Price is set to go straight into the side for Saturday’s League One clash at home to Colchester United after Carlisle’s injury crisis deepened.
Darryl Duffy will miss a minimum of three weeks with a groin injury, while fellow striker Scott Dobie faces a week on the sidelines with a similar problem.
On top of that, 11-goal striker Joe Anyinsah is a long-term injury, leaving United desperately short of firepower, with only with Richard Offiong, Ben Marshall and Gary Madine – due back from a loan spell at Chesterfield – at their disposal.
Price, who can play as a central striker or wide right, only returned to Millwall this week from a month on loan at Oldham, where he scored once in seven games.
Millwall boss Kenny Jackett agreed to the deal after his side defeated Carlisle 3-1 on Tuesday night.
Abbott said: “Jason was one player we knew about as he has been around a long time and knows the game, and with our injury situation we had to make a move for someone.
“Kenny Jackett has done us a bit of a favour in letting us have him as he knows we can take points from other teams around them.
“Everybody wants to keep their strikers but Millwall have five plus Jason, so he can come in and help us and it will also help him as well.”
Price began his career with Swansea City and lists Tranmere Rovers, Hull City and Doncaster Rovers among his former clubs in a career totalling almost 400 appearances.
Abbott believes the versatile and experienced 32-year-old frontman will also add a more physical presence to his attack in a similar style to former striker Vincent Pericard.
The Blues boss said: “He has always scored goals and he will certainly be a leader of the line.
“If he can come in and put himself about, win headers and put people under pressure that would be great. He has power and physical presence as he is 6ft 2in and built like an outhouse.
“He’s more mobile than Vince but probably doesn’t hold the ball up as well.”
Price returned to the New Den after Saturday after Oldham opted to sign Blackpool's Daniel Nardiello on loan until the end of the season.
Ironically, Oldham boss Dave Penney is now scouring the market for another striker after Nardiello picked up a hamstring injury on his home debut against Leyton Orient on Tuesday.
