Q: WHO CAN ENTER?
A: Companies from any sector, of any size can enter. The business needs to be located within the county of Cumbria. Entry is free of charge.

Q: HOW DO WE SUBMIT OUR APPLICATION?
A: Either complete an application form online at www.cnbusinessawards.co.uk or download an application form following the link on our newspaper websites or contact us on This email address is being protected from spambots. Q: WHAT CRITERIA NEED TO BE MET?
A: There are separate criteria for each category and these appear on this website.

Q: WHAT SHALL I INCLUDE WITH MY ENTRY FORM?
A:  The judges will make their decisions based solely on the information you provide so it is important to include good examples of achievement and evidence to support your nomination.  Please make sure your entry reflects the strength of the nomination.  Up to six A4 sheets of additional information can be included with the entry form.  Unfortunately we cannot accept brochures, leaflets, cds or dvds as supporting material.

Q: CAN I ENTER MORE THAN ONE CATEGORY?
A: Yes but you will need to complete a separate form for each entry.

Q: CAN I NOMINATE SOMEONE ELSE FOR ONE OF THE INDIVIDUAL AWARDS?
A: You can put yourself forward or nominate someone else for the individual awards but we would ask you to obtain your nominee’s permission before submitting the entry.

Q: IF I AM SUCCESSFUL CAN I BRING ANYONE WITH ME TO THE AWARDS PRESENTATION?
A: Yes, all finalists will be supplied with two tickets for the event.

Q: HOW CAN I BE SURE THAT THE INFORMATION I SUPPLY WILL BE TREATED CONFIDENTIALLY?
A: The editor will make the final decision as to what is published in any newspaper title but will at all times remain aware of any details that may be considered sensitive. All submitted material will be destroyed following the completion of the competition.
