YOUNG people are the lifeblood of Cumbria’s economy and vital to ensuring the regeneration activity now taking place resonates for generation to come.
As the organisation leading on economic development in the County, Cumbria Vision is proud to be supporting the newly-created ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ category. We strongly believe the successes of our young businessmen and women should be celebrated and held up as shining examples to all – regardless of backgrounds.
By instilling an entrepreneurial zeal, we want to inspire them to take an active role in Cumbria’s transformation into one of the fastest growing economies in the UK. And with significant levels of public and private sector investment taking place, there will be numerous opportunities for young people to grasp .
With improved training in schools and the creation of specialist academies delivering the skills vital to Cumbrian businesses; to brand new, world-leading training and research centres such as the recently-opened Energus – Cumbria is already planning for the future.
